Argentina takes action to eliminate child labor

Labor Minister Carlos Tomada presented today a National Plan for the Eradication of Child Labor and Protection of Adolescent Labor that was constructed by the National Commission for the Eradication of Child Labor (CONAETI) and national Provincial Committees. These institutions introduced the first National Plan in 2006, but have decided it is time to review the policy and its impact and come up with a more affective legislation, according to espanol.upi,com. A formal presentation of the new plan will be given during a seminar organized by CONAETI called “All child labor is dangerous to the health” as part of the World Day Against Child Labor celebrated on June 12.
