Argentina: New Resolution Grants Unemployment Benefits for Trafficking Victims

On June 2, 2013 Télam Noticias reported a new resolution, signed by the Argentinian Secretary for Employment Enrique Deibe, which will grant relief to trafficking victims in the form of unemployment benefits.

Moreover, all personnel involved in procedures relating to the provision of said insurance benefits shall observe confidentiality obligations as set forth by the Law on the Protection of Personal Data, No. 25326. They are also to protect the privacy and identity of victims of trafficking in persons as established by Article 8 of the Law on the Prevention and Punishment of Trafficking in Persons and Victim Assistance, No. 26.364.
