The supermarket shelves across the country again become the battleground for sectional interests: while slightly normalizing the provision of yerba mate, now the focus of attention was deposited in the oil, which reached its peak shortage in the metropolitan area and in several provinces.

The information was confirmed last night by several sources BAE large supermarket chains and the managing director of the Argentina Chamber of Supermarkets (CAS) and the Federation Argentina of Supermarkets (FASA), Pedro Oroz. Read Article

In a terse and emphatic, Oroz said, not wanting to delve further into the conflict, “it is true that there are shortages of oil on the shelves for over a month, according to information reported” by the shareholders of both entities.

In turn, this situation was curtly denied by sources in the Oil Industry Chamber of Argentina (CIARA). “The oil delivery is absolutely normal. There are 42 million liters per month in soybean oil and sunflower “they said. Thus, as in the problem with yerba mate, reappear doubts about the extent and causes of the shortages.
