Argentina: Announcement of Human Trafficking Conference this June in Neuquén

On May 20, 2013 Rio Negro reported that on June 7-8 of this year, the city of Neuquén, Argentina will host a conference entitled “Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking of Persons”, the first of its kind within the Patagonian region of Argentina. One of the primary goals of the conference will be to create a map indicating the current severity of sexual exploitation and human trafficking within the Patagonian region of Argentina. The conference will be held at the city council office of Neuquén. Participants include members of civil society organizations and government agencies working to combat trafficking networks and to facilitate the social reintegration of rescued victims.
