Amnesty International reports harassment of human rights activists during Pope’s visit Cuba

Amnesty International said today Cuban authorities escalated their harassment of human rights activists during Pope Benedict’s visit, increasing arrests, disconnecting activists’ phones and surrounding activists’ houses to prevent them from speaking out about human rights abuses during the Papal tour. Amnesty International urged the Pope to condemn the crackdown and lack of freedom in Cuba. Read Article
