Alfonso Cano, leader of FARC dies in bombing by Colombia troops

BBC reported that Defense Minister of Colombia, Juan Carlos Pinzón, confirmed in the early hours of Saturday at a news conference in Bogota the death of Alfonso Cano, top leader of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). According to Finch, the guerrilla leader of 63 years died after a bombing in a mountainous region of Cauca. “The troops began a siege and the siege in the course of the afternoon today (Friday) went into a combat situation and prosecution of this individual.” Read Article
