Ecuadorian Companies Comfortable in Peru

According to ElComercio.com many highways are built or being constructed in order to connect the countries together. Verdu, an Ecuadorian construction company, entered Peru in 2007 to build roads. Verdu won a contract to build a 65 km road between Sullana and Alamor. Many Ecuadorian tourists use this highway to enter Peru. The company worked with a Peruvian lawyer to start their business in Peru. Reportedly, a third group of Ecuadorian companies, Motorlink and Carlink are moving their businesses centers to Peru. Due to Carlink’s move, auto sales have increase 50% for the year in Peru. It is estimated that in the next five years 200,000 new cars will be sold. Peru’s Agency of Promotion and Investment says that in 2010 Ecuadorian companies had invested a total of USD 87.86 million. Banco Financiero is working with and has a list of 50 Ecuadorian companies interested in starting business in Peru.Read Article
