Ecuador: rains to continue for next 72 hours in Andean Valleys, Amazon region

eltelegrafo.com.ec reported…. Government weather forecasters say the rains will continue for the next 72 hours in the Inter-Andean valleys and the Amazon. The rains will be isolated and stronger in some cities. The moisture is coming from the Brasilian basin.:

Merino warned that the estimated rainfall limits for this month are not yet exceeded. In Quito, for example, in the Iñaquito station (north) there was 69.8 millimeters of rain (48%), when the estimated 145.9 millimeters. In Isobamba (south) we have 105.5 millimeters when the estimated is 180.9. In the Amazon, however, the highest level of precipitation is in Pastaza, where 173 millimeters of rainwater was recorded, but an estimated 424.8 millimeters during the month. In the first 12 days of March, the lowest temperature felt in the capital was 8.7 degrees on the 4th of this month.
