Sex Trafficking Network Dismantled between Mexico and New York City

Security Agencies Mexico and EU dismantles women trafficking network operating from Tlaxcala; arrested eight people.
The Attorney General’s Office broke up an international network of sexual exploitation, composed of 9 people operating in different states and New York City in the United States.

The agency reported that the Attorney General of the Republic, Arely Gómez González, said that this is one of the many results of the Binational Cooperation enforcement between Mexico and the United States.

The director of the Criminal Investigation Agency, Thomas Zerón said the investigation began in 2012 and that the victims were engaged through social networks.

“The modus operandi of the perpetrator was linked emotionally with minors in vulnerable situations, using both social networks like face courtship, remove them from their family environment and produce offspring to threaten both physically and psychologically, along with marriage proposals, psychological pressures and Physical to carry out sex, “said Thomas Zerón Lucio, chief of the Criminal Investigation Agency PGR.
