Rejection of Israel in Latin America sees growing anti-Semitism

The Israeli offensive in Gaza were repudiated by the Latin American Presidents, while thousands of its citizens living there under threat from Hamas. In Europe, they claim that these are the “worst of times” since the national socialism. Countries such as the Argentina, Chile and Brazil, who have always maintained excellent ties with Israel, have joined the criticism. The latter two, along with Ecuador, Peru and El Salvador withdrew their ambassadors in Israel as a condemnation of the offensive in Gaza. “We express profound disappointment by hasty decision to call their ambassadors for consultation. This step represents a boost to Hamas, an organization recognized as terrorist by many countries of the world”, was the response of Israel.
