Ecuador: Ruling Party Hits Setback

plenglish.com reported that the setback experienced by President Rafael Correa”s Alianza Pais in the election for mayor in Quito, Cuenca and Guayaquil has sounded the alarms in that political organization, although it was the most voted party.
It is good to have those shakings, said Correa after admitting that Alianza Pais committed several errors during the election campaign. According to Correa, the worst error that the party committed, in addition to resting on its laurels, was sectarianism, because it did not seek alliances with other political forces. The broader the coalition supporting the revolutionary process is, the better it will be, pointed out the leader of Alianza Pais. Read Article
