Mexico: Young Girl Sexually Victimized by Godfather and Mother

On May 28, 2013 El Diario reported the sentencing of Aurelio Carlos Camacho Gutiérrez and María del Socorro F. on charges of trafficking and rape of a young girl. The sentenced criminals were the godfather and mother of the victim, respectively. The girl was 7 at the time the weekly assaults first began. The victim’s mother would bring the child to Camacho’s house, where she would allow the girl’s godfather to grope her daughter sexually in exchange for money. Once the girl turned 11 the situation worsened, as the godfather began to pay the victim’s mother 500 pesos per week in exchange for sexual intercourse with the girl. The incidents occurred over a period between February 18, 2008 and March 20, 2010, the date of the last attack. Read Article
