Police in Brazil Find Nearly 100 Kilograms of Marijuana Wrapped as Present

On February 7, 2013, G1 reported that police in the Brazilian state of Goiás discovered a stash of nearly 100 kilograms of marijuana. The drugs were found in Cachoeira Alta, some 350 kilometers from Goiânia, the state capital. The marijuana was wrapped into 104 packets using wrapping paper, made to look like birthday presents. The drugs were found in a field close to state route GO-206, known in the past for being a popular route for smugglers and traffickers. The suspects to this point have not been found.  Read Article
