Brazil, UN set to offer assistance

UN spokesman Martin Nesirky said that the UN is paying close attention to the tragedy in Brazil caused by the rains and is waiting for its government to make a call for humanitarian help to send some aid. Nesirky said that UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is aware of the situation and is also extremely worried about the catastrophe in Rio de Janeiro. Nersiky said that the Brazilian authorities are in touch with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. Read Article
