Marijuana bust in Moctezuma and Venado, Mexico

Three men were arrested in Moctezuma and Venado, Antena San Luis reports. The three individuals were together carrying and guarding half a ton of marijuana. The drugs were intercepted along a route between Monterrey, Nuevo Leon and the states of Jalisco and Michoacán. The marijuana was discovered when police pulled over a white 1995 Nissan that was driven by Ramón Espinoza Gallardo, 50, who displayed signs of anxiety. The vehicle was inspected, which revealed 5 packages of various sizes containing and herb resembling marijuana. The packages weighed 42.66 kilos. Later, after the arrest, another white Nissan, this time a 1989 model, was stopped, as well as a Dodge vehicle. These vehicles were found to be carrying 55 packages of various sizes, containing 473.03 kilos of an herb resembling marijuana. Oseas Gamaliel Barajas Velázquez and Adolfo Navarrete Sandoval were arrested in this seizure. Read Article
