The auxiliary Judge of the Superior Council of the Judiciary in Colombia, Maria Constanza Rivera Peña, warned of the risk in Mexico is the battle between criminal groups to control the transfer and sale of drugs.

He estimated that if restrictive policies or through arms control are not accompanied by social programs and reclaiming public spaces there will be no real solution to the problem.

“I would say that the situation in Mexico is a bit difficult right now going through a change of government, is the opportunity for presidential candidates or the person who will be taking action on the issue.”
