Investments in energy projects to exceed US$5 billion in 2011

Peru’s Energy and Mines Ministry (MEM) reported Wednesday that investments in energy projects, which include electricity and of hydrocarbons, will total a bit over US$5 billion this year. “I think that we’ll reach nearly US$ 2.5 billion of investment in the electricity sub sector. In theory, in the entire energy sector we can have a little more than US$5 billion investments this year,” Deputy Energy Minister Daniel Camac said. Read Article
