Brazil’s airports overwhelmed with World Cup 30 months away

According to a report by the newspaper Folha de São Paulo, the passenger demand is growing year after year, although the rates are increasingly expensive. Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília and Cuiabá are the most affected by the phenomenon. During the World Cup 2014, 16 airports will be most used by visitors.

Among them, six (37.5 percent) exceeded the number of travelers who can tolerate annually. St. Paul has three terminals, all have a higher than recommended transit: Guarulhos, the largest in the country, receives 30 million (ideally 25). For Congonhas spend 16.75 million (12).
