Argentina to reduce amount of salt in processed foods

In order to reduce the sodium content in processed food groups, the Ministries of Health and Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation tomorrow will sign a framework agreement with the Coordinator of Food Industries (COPAL) in order Argentina’s population that decrease the amount of salt and, thus, influence is achieved on one of the major risk factors for cardiovascular disease, a condition that accounts for 48 percent of Chronic Diseases, which annually cause the death of 36 million people worldwide.
