22 criminals killed in Mexican military operation

22 suspected criminals were killed in clashes with armed forces in a joint operation of Army and Air Force 15 days in four northern states in which 14 hostages were released, according to the National Defense Secretariat.

From 10 to 24 September the Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA) launched the second phase of “Operation Scorpion”, with the aim of “forcefully limit of” the activities of criminal groups in the states of Nuevo León , Tamaulipas, Coahuila and San Luis Potosi, the agency said in a statement.
