14-year old gang raped in Paraná, Brazil

Globo reported on May 17, 2013 that four suspects; three sailors and a 14-year old boy, were detained for charges of gang rape in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná. The female victim was 14-years old. The three sailors deny involvement in the rape although they confess they were in the house and witnessed the crime although they did not intervene to prevent the attack. The sailors as well, claim only the 14-year old boy was responsible for the rape. The suspects can face eight to fifteen years in prison. Read Article
