‘Anonymous’ Member Who Coordinated Latin American Attacks Arrested

According to lavozdeasturias.es the Anonymous member who coordinated web attacks on Latin American government organizations, was arrested in a sting operation on May 20th. La Voz acquired access to court sealed documents where the suspect is being charged with electronic crimes and illicit association to a cyber terrorist group. The suspect, alias Devnuller, hid the server that coordinated Latin American cyber attacks in a house in Gijon, Spain. Police recovered the server, on May 20th, while the suspect was working as a merchant marine. Officials say that two service providers AnonWorld and Anonnet are coordinating the cyber attacks. Also officials say the two groups have a tenuous relationship but mostly coordinate cyber attacks on government bodies around the world. The police charge Devnuller with being one of the masterminds of the operation. Devnuller denies the charge. Anonymous is an organization dedicated to cyberactivism and linked to recent attacks on government websites worldwide.Read Article
