Military establishes air bridge established after closing of border between Peru and Chile

DUE TO LANDMINES WASHING AWAY BECAUSE OF OVERFLOWING WATERS – BORDER WAS CLOSED – NOW REOPENED BUT MANY STRANDED.
The Defence Ministry yesterday afternoon established an air bridge between Tacna and Arica after the transfer of antipersonnel mines in the border by the overflowing of the creek Writers. About 100 Chileans were transferred to his country in two Antonov aircraft and brought back to 100 Peruvians stranded in the Peruvian Consulate in Arica. However, today at 09.37 hours the complex reopened Santa Rosa (Tacna) and Chacalluta (Arica) allowing hundreds of people travel between Peru and Chile and vice versa.
