Uruguay: Gang of drug traffickers detained with thousands of dollars, weapons, drugs

elpais.com.uy reported police captured a gang of drug traffickers with thousands of dollars and weapons

Police seized $84.203, cocaine, base paste, cars, a pistol, a rifle, a shotgun, a professional bow after a major raid carried out on a farm in Canelón Chico. Five detained. After several months of surveillance and investigation procedures, the Montevideo police dismantled a gang of criminals of “high danger” which, according to the Ministry of the Interior, “would not be non-criminal acts causing great public commotion (breaking, thefts and actions linked to drug trafficking)”.

The research focused on a farm of Canelones, located in the spot Canelón Chico, way the giant, route 32 and San Marcos, which is owned by one of the parties involved for who the judge ordered closure of borders and indictment. Read Article
