Imprisoned gang arrested for stealing trucks in Guayas

eluniverso.com reported five suspects in a gang of roadside vehicles in Guayas province were admitted to the Libertad deprivation center after a judge ordered their pretrial detention and the start of the investigation phase.

The head of the Guayas Judicial Police, Jose Ortiz, reported that agents of the Specialized Section on Crimes Against Property of the Judicial Police and police officers of the Pascuales District arrested Henry Gabriel PZ, Luis Óscar GL, Byron Guillermo CF, Juan Carlos MC and Germán Gerardo CC in flagrante delicto, in a garage of the Ciudadela Rivera of Los Vergeles, in the northwest of Guayaquil.

Ortiz explained that when he was aware of an assault on a truck loaded with food products, near the canton Jujan, operations were carried out to recover the merchandise and arrest the alleged members of the criminal network.
