Ecuador’s CNT invests USD 4 mln in govt communications

Ecuador’s state-owned operator CNT to invest 4.3 million investment in a high-speed broadband, telephony, cloud and unified communications platform for government entities. The platform was inaugurated by the country’s president Rafael Correa and offers a transmission capacity of up to 10 Gbps, equivalent to connecting to 3,300 homes, said the operator. An exclusive mobile node was also implemented for the entire platform, giving internal and external customers access to a high quality mobile service. The platform will benefit public bodies such as the economic ministry, finance ministry, central bank, inland revenue service and customs service. Read Article
