Chile: Imports of chocolates grew 35 % in 2011

According to statistics from the Portal Comex Chamber of Commerce of Santiago (www.portalcomexccs.cl), Chocolate Chilean imports reached U.S. $ 36.3 million in 2011, equivalent to a 35% increase over the previous year.

The category most in demand the year fell to the chocolates, which totaled $ 16.7 million in the period, corresponding to an increase of 33% over 2010 and a market share of 46%.

In turn, imports of chocolate bar was U.S. $ 14.9 million, equivalent to an increase of 39% and 41% share. Read Article
