Bolivia: seven dead so far 2012 from hemorrhagic fever

So far this year, 13 people were infected with hemorrhagic fever virus and seven died from disease development. Five municipalities have large populations of Beni mouse Calomys callosus, the government said. “For example in the municipality of Huacaraje was established that 10 rodents trapped, eight were infected with the virus, which is 80%.
