Quito rural areas near new airport, fire alerts

Lahora.com.ec reported the fire was unstoppable in Puembo. It details the hectares but Indaves affected farm. Furthermore, Nuns Madrigal, flames risked a residential complex. Two fires that persisted for several days kept busy members of the Fire Department of Quito. The first began on Saturday Puembo sector and until yesterday had consumed several acres of pasture. The other fight began on Monday, but yesterday became uncontrollable.

In Puembo

Yesterday afternoon firefighters continued Puembo area, northeastern District, trying to control the scourge that took four days of Quebradillas. At 15:30 the tongues of fire was stoked and moved to Santa Rosa, the creek back to the area where the new airport is built in Tababela. Read Article
