Police raid 19 used auto parts stores in Guayaquil and Cuenca

Police raided 19 stores dedicated to buying and selling used parts located on the street Alcedo between 17 and Salinas in Guayaquil this June 14, pursuant to an order issued by the Twenty-Sixth Court of Criminal Guarantees Guayas this June 14th.

The uniformed staff with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), visited the premises and checked drive shafts, gearboxes, armor, gears of different gear boxes, among other items, which were for sale. The parts that were not relevant invoice were taken to the cellars of the Judicial Police.While in Cuenca, June 13, police inspected stores that sell tires and accessories of vehicles at these sites was detected irregularities. In one of the premises was found tires that were carved by hand and painted with tar or rubber by passing new ones. Read Article
