Peru, illegal miners in Cusco seeks assistance from authorities to legalize

A group of illegal miners in the district of Camanti-Quincemil Cusco province of Quispicanchi, adjacent to the Madre de Dios region, asked the Regional Office of Energy and Mines formalized support. The miners went to the regional entity later that the government issued several decrees criminalizing informal mining.
Camanti Cusco is the district where there are more informal miners, reaching a thousand. They work in 500 grants, of which only four have the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and permits. Read Article
