Peru: Gang of Colombians, Peruvians detained transporting drugs on speedboat, Amazon region

Peruvian authorities arrested a suspected drug gang of five Colombian and Peruvian Amazon region in Loreto, reported the National Police of Peru (PNP).

Spanish.china.org.cn reported that according to the police report, the men were seized when traveling in a speedboat in a suspicious manner in the vicinity of the town of San José de Yanayacu. At the time of their arrest, foreigners and Peruvian river tried to throw packages unknown situation was observed by narcotics officers who boarded the boat to investigate the illegal activity.

During operation the Peruvian authorities seized four rifles, three pistols, a revolver, ammunition 1402, 15 cacerinas and $ 4,800, among other foreign currencies. Read Article
