Peru, Fake Ollanta Humala Website Hacked

According to LaRepublica.pe, a fake website for the candidate of Gana Peru Ollanta Humala was hacked earlier today. It was created by anonymous users and distorted the image and beliefs of Mr. Humala. The website was called www.ollantaporperu.pe. On the website, Humala was labeled as a “socialist” and “death to imperialism.” Also, a banner appeared linking Humala to Hugo Chavez. LaRepublica.pe reports that this was an attempt to discredit Mr. Humala including attempts from Fujimori supporters through fake phone calls called ‘Fujillamadas.’Read Article

Through an investigation by latinamericancurrentevent.com it appears that there is no registered site called www.ollantaporperu.pe. A further check revealed that the apparently hacked site was called www.ollantaporperu.com The ownership is registered as private. Below is a picture of the site which was allegedly hacked.
