Paraguay continues environment of corruption and lack of transparency

Again, Paraguay has the sad privilege of being the runner-up corruption in Latin America during the year that is ending. This was revealed by Transparency International (TI) in the latest edition of the Index of Corruption Perception (CPI). It is not the first time that our country holds this degrading position. Already in times of red regimes had reached similar positions. The unfortunate part is that during the administration of a government that proclaimed bearer of transparency and recovery of lost dignity, no change occurred. The present authorities not only have lifted a finger to remove the monstrous scaffolding of corruption but they themselves have been and are involved in high profile cases of venality. Read Article
