Largest groups represented Ecuadorian prisons, Colombian, Peruvian and Spanish

Colombian, Peruvian and Spanish groups are predominantly foreign detainees in prisons in Ecuador, said on Saturday President Rafael Correa, who denied that the figure obey the government policy of eliminating visas, effective from 2008.

This “is not the result of the migration policy of the Colombian and Peruvian Ecuador because the CAN (Andean Community) do not need visa,” just as the Spanish did not require the document, said in his Saturday program Dialogue with the President.

Described as a “lie that no request for visas since 2008 is increasing the crime of foreigners in the country.” Read Article
