Ecuador: Tourists can now obtain additional ninety days on tourist visa, additional fee

According to information disseminated by the Ministry of the Interior, interested parties may go to the offices of the Undersecretariat of Migration to initiate the respective procedure.

The procedure can be carried out at any of the 30 offices of the Migration Support Service, at a national level, prior to the payment of 30% of the Unified Basic Salary ($ 125), which must be deposited at Banco del Pacífico or its authorized correspondents. national level using code 4.6.

Foreigners can request this extension, once the 90 days of authorization of permanence granted by the Ministry of the Interior.

The extension applies to all foreign citizens of countries that are not members of the Union of South American Nations (Unasur) and who entered Ecuador as tourists.

In the case of not requesting the extension within the established time, the foreign citizen will be subject to the sanctioning regime established by the Organic Law of Human Mobility and its Regulations.
