Fierce debate in Brazil over forestry protection

A bill being debated in Brazil’s Congress has sparked fierce clashes between environmentalists and supporters of farmers and ranchers over how to regulate the country’s vast but vulnerable wilderness.
After 20 hours of debate, a vote on the controversial measure in the Chamber of Deputies was postponed Thursday until next week. The bill would then move on to the Senate. Read Article
