Elite group of prosecutors assigned to disrupt BACRIM in Colombia

In southern Florida, an elite group of U.S. attorneys is assigned a goal: to help disrupt the criminal gangs (BACRIM) in Colombia. In fact, the capture of 30 people this week in Colombia, linked to the organization of ‘Loco Barrera’ is the first result of this mission, which, according to the prosecutor for the Southern District of Florida, Wilfredo Antonio Ferrer, is the “new chapter in the fight against drug trafficking.” Almost in secret, for several months this fiscal unit in key with the Colombian police, has opened dozens of cases of drug trafficking against gang members.
