Ecuador, Colombia: Sexual trafficking ring of underage girls dismantled

elcomercio.com reported the authorities of Colombia dismantled in Caqueta (south) and Nariño (southwest) a network dedicated to trafficking operating in the Colombian Pacific and Ecuador, reported today, November 23, 2015, police said. The organization moved by deception to Florence, capital of Caqueta department, to underage girls who promised to join the “Summer Girl” competition taking place in the city of Tumaco (Nariño), police said in a statement. According to authorities, the network bought clothes and gave support to the children who later were sexually exploited in bars located in different municipalities of the Pacific Coast and in towns of Ecuador.
