Ecuador, 3,000 fires leave five dead and 73 injured

Hoy.com.ec reported the province with more fire is Pichincha (to 2458), followed by Imbabura (with 209) and Canar (63).

Already more than 3000 forest fires that have occurred in the country from June 1 until the present date.

This sets the balance yesterday, prepared by the National Secretariat for Risk Management (SNGR).

According to the report, to this date are 3,069 claims reported.

The balance indicates that five people have died in Azuay, Bolivar, Chimborazo, Cotopaxi and Tungurahua. Also reported 73 wounded, mostly in Gauteng (47) and Chimborazo (53).
