Costa Rica, Monteverde without gasoline station

The lack of a gas station in Monteverde puts at risk residents, hotel operators, taxi drivers and visitors. And a miracle that so far there hasn’t been a major fire or accident resulting from the improper handling and storage of gasoline. The only gas station in Monteverde closed in May of 2008, almost three years ago, closing to rebuild inground storage tanks. However, although the work was completed in December 2009, the gasoline station has not been able to obtain the required permits to re-open. Read Article
