Colombia, Gloria Flórez Denies Consensus of Candidates for Mayor of Bogotá

According to semana.com, Gloria Flórez criticizes the Alternative Democratic Pole for excluding members of the Committee from the decision for the candidates to replace Moreno. She describes that 16 members of the democratic tendency waited hours while a meeting was being held above. Members of the majority were called up, and eventually Flórez and the other 15 members left. She states that likewise events have been happening for months. When commenting on the candidates, she affirms that none has the necessary experience or knowledge that the mayor of Bogotá needs. Flórez along with 4 other members signed a statement that the Committee failed to make a decision to make sure that the necessary contracting and administration reforms will be made in Bogotá and that the Democratic Pole has a responsibility to make sure that investigations of corruption are well carried out.
