Argentina: legal age for voting changed to sixteen

After 11 hours of debate, between chants, booing, rudeness, abandonment of the rooms and insults crossings, the Chamber of Deputies Argentina approved Wednesday night the right to vote from the age of 16. He did it with 131 votes in favor, two against and one abstention. The text, which was approved in the Senate in mid-October with the broad support of the opposition, will allow young people aged 16 to 17 years to exercise voluntary voting, compared to 29 million Argentines adults who attend the polls is a duty enshrined in the Constitution.
