80 percent of refugees in Ecuador have no desire to return to their home country

elnuevoherald.com reported about 80 percent of the refugees arriving in Ecuador, most Colombians, want to stay in this country rather than return to their home, said Monday in Quito, the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), John Fredrikson.

Between 60,000 and 70,000 people have the condition of refugees in Latin America and within the region, Ecuador, with close to 55,000, is the country which hosts the largest number of them, coming in a 98.4 per cent of Colombia. Read Article
