Wanted U.S. Teen detained with mother in Puerto Vallarta Mexico

theguardian.com reported that 18-year-old Ethan Couch and his mother had been missing since 10 December, when Couch broke his probation for killing four people while driving drunk
“Crossing over to Mexico is not a difficult thing to do,” Anderson said, pointing out that US authorities do not check who is leaving the US and instead focus on who is coming in. Couch and his mother are reported to have driven a truck to the border before 16 December, when a warrant was issued for Ethan Couch’s arrest.

Taylor, with the US marshals, said authorities in Mexico began focusing on Puerto Vallarta on Saturday. Couch and his mother may have lived off of cash to avoid leaving a credit card trail and are reported to have attempted to change their appearance. Read Article
