Venezuela: small drug carrying aircraft crashes, pilot killed

One person was killed Tuesday night in northwestern Venezuela in the crash of a small plane carrying a quantity of drugs yet to be determined, said the Deputy Minister of Public Safety, Nestor Reverol.

“He was a person apparently manning a single-engine aircraft, which is dead,” he said in a telephone connection Reverol the official television VTV after announcing the accident, which occurred in the town of Anzoategui, in Lara state.

“The preliminary information we have is that there is a drug bust. Far are four bales, four sacks. Do not have the exact amount, we will continue the investigation,” he added. Read Article
