Venezuela: Inflation up 4.4 percent September 2013, 38.7 percent for year

The consumer price index in Venezuela rose 4.4% in September, bringing accumulated inflation in the first nine months of the year was 38.7%, more than three times the 11.5% that accumulated this same height 2012.

The Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) said in a statement that these figures influenced the increase of agricultural products (4.0%), agribusiness (5.0%), public transportation (3.0%) and education (6, 3%), plus an adjustment Electric Service 19.3%, the effect of rising fuel prices. Read Article
