U.S. Consulate Matamoros Mexico evacuated for bomb threat

W1420.com reported that the United States Consulate General in Matamoros was evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a bomb threat at its facilities, officials said. The threat was received by an anonymous call to the 066 Emergency Services Command Center, Computer, Control and Communications (C-4), which states that a bomb would explode in the U.S. office located in the colonial gardens of this border city. The area was guarded by members of emergency and federal forces, while its own team evacuated the embassy workers and people doing paperwork. According to social network users indicated that following the review found no explosive device, leaving as a “false alarm”. It is unknown whether the work was resumed at the Consulate. Read Article
