Tumbes Peru: Nine Children Rescued from labor exploitation in rice fields

elcomercio.pe reported nine children who were exploited in rice fields of Tumbes were rescued by the defender of the people, in coordination with the public prosecutor’s Office and agents of the national police of Peru (PNP). The children and teenagers, aged between 9 and 16 years, developing working hours of more than 11 hours a day in Exchange for tips.

The intervention was carried out last Saturday at 1 p.m. in the rice paddies of the beautiful beach of Villa sector San Isidro, located in the District of Corrales. Read Article
