Trujillo: Pre-Trial Detention for Three Accused of Human Trafficking

On June 18, 2013 RPP Noticias reported that three people have been sentenced to 9 months in El Milgaro prison while awaiting trial for the alleged prostitution minors taken from the jungle areas of the country. Jover Cotrina Bautista, Alexander Alfredo Polo Velásquez and Eugenia María Vásquez Pirgo are the owners of a house in El Milagro where the alleged prostitution occurred. The three are being investigated for the crime of trafficking. They were captured by police along with 6 other people currently being investigated on pimping charges. Read Article
